PETALING JAYA, May 23 – Selangor police have announced that road traffic controls will be heightened on May 25 and 26 in conjunction with the arrival of international delegates attending the ASEAN Summit 2025.
According to Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, traffic diversions will be implemented in stages to ensure smooth and secure transportation for delegates arriving via two key entry points – Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the Subang Air Force Base.
“For arrivals from KLIA, road controls will be enforced from 12pm to 11pm on May 25 and from 12pm to 1pm on May 26,” said Comm Datuk Hussein in a statement on Thursday (May 22). The routes expected to be affected include the Elite Highway and areas near the Seri Kembangan R&R.
Meanwhile, for delegations arriving via Subang Air Force Base, the impacted routes – Jalan Monfort and the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) – will see traffic diversions from 11am to 2pm on May 25.
“The police urge all road users to remain vigilant and cooperative during these periods. Closures and diversions will be conducted in stages to minimise disruption,” he added.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys ahead and consider alternative routes to avoid delays during the affected hours.
